Role & Duration
User Experience Designer

Focus group
People who use fitness tracker applications often fall into the 25–40 age range, have a medium salary, and have a good level of education.
The Problem
We do not achieve success only by gaining information; we must also learn how to use that information.
Our fitness tracker just provides us with information about our stats and vitals connected to our fitness activities; it does not provide us with instructions on how to work to get those numbers back to normal.
Without the right information, it is hard to plan the procedure or determine which area of our bodies requires extra care.
Design Process
01
Research - Understand the user and how they perceive the notion of being healthy
02
Ideate - How a user can reach their desired goals from the data they get on the app.

03
Create - Started with hand sketches and made a few designs after considering user flow
04
Wireframing - Iteration on wireframes which include Information hierarchy and data visualisation
05
Final Design - On basis of the most viable solution made the app more user-friendly and easy to access.
User Research
Primary Research
I conducted many interviews in gyms and fitness centres, asking participants what they anticipated from the information they received from their fitness-related applications.
I also asked those who don't use any fitness equipment to describe their experiences. my research encompassed -
-
Understanding the motivation of people who keep track of their body stats and vitals on a regular basis.
-
.What they really deduce from the data collected by fitness trackers
-
In terms of fitness, how do they judge their success
Secondary Research
To comprehend the Body Composition Analysis devices and their market demand, it is vital to grasp the terminology as well, thus I read through prior research and publications linked to this topic to obtain additional ideas.
Categorization of Users
After we finished our research and interviews, we divided our users into two groups and created personas based on the insights we gained from the interviews.
Fitness Freaks
Who exercise every day and love to get more insights from their data so they could get better results from it and track their journey
Motivation Seekers
Who needs companionship in their journey toward reaching fitness goals. They are generally not able to get anything meaningful from their fitness data so most of the time they skip their daily workouts. They just need a little push to achieve their goals.
Themes
Themes were generated from the analysis of the user interview, qualitative research and online survey of the target group of age 25-40 yr old
Behavioural Design
focus on interaction with the product and derive value from it
Spoke about they don’t know how they can use their data to bring change into their routine
Visceral Design
tapping into user’s feelings, beliefs and involvement with digital apps
More involvement with the app will come up with the trust-building between the app and the user.
Reflective Design
what are the pain points and expectations we have after using the app?
Lack of getting any useful insights and less understanding of data they get from an app.
How Might we?
1
How might we increase the accountability of users?
4
How might we interpret our data in a meaningful manner?
2
How might we build our strategy after getting data?
5
How might we know what suits to my body?
3
How might we know which area of the body needs more attention?
6
How might we understand what is good or bad for the user's body type?
